Fort Liberty Improving Roads System

Fort Liberty Directorate of Public Works is partnering with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to upgrade Fort Liberty’s Roads. In the next few months, we will see a variety of improvements started around the installation. There will be road and lane closures while this takes place. Please be patient while this construction improves our post. Honeycutt Road Closure at Texas Lake

Honeycutt Road is Open! The culvert replacement is complete.

Pratt Street Repair,  Now Scheduled for 22APR24 to 27SEP24.

Pratt Street closed between Rifle Range Road and Ogden Street. Bypass using Gruber to Butner to Lewis Street. Detour will be via Butner Road and Lewis Street/Gruber Road. Loadout access will be accessible through Collins Street. Minimal impact is expected as Pratt Street is not a major thoroughfare.

Fort Liberty Training Areas are Off-Limits with Only a Few Exceptions

You are not authorized to leave the paved roads that go through Fort Liberty without specific clearance from Range Operations: for example, officially scheduled training, official business – to include contractors with a Range Pass, or hunting/fishing with a Fort Liberty permit. Long Arm Mowing and Tree Removal on Range Roads May 15-Aug 1, 2024

Long arm mowing and tree removal will occur on the shoulders of the Fort Liberty range roadways, May 15-Aug 1, 2024. There may be single lane closures with flagging operations. Expect delays, use caution, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Affected roads include Manchester, King, Plank, Morrison Bridge and Morganton roads. This work is weather dependent.
