This week at Pax8 Beyond, the company announced a new security training program for Pax8 partners. Though this is Pax8’s first security program, corporate VP of partner experience Vicky Critchley said the company plans to release more later this year. The program was developed in partnership with a number of companies, including Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Blackpoint Cyber and Proofpoint.

In other conference news, next week is D&H Distributing’s THREAD conference, which will be held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Ahead of the conference, D&H released its final fiscal year 2024 numbers, which showed an overall 20% growth. In FY25, which started in May, the company is setting its sights on AI.

OpenText Cybersecurity has released new MSP/MSSP-focused research and governance-as-a-service solutions provider Compliance Scorecard has unveiled the latest version of its compliance-as-a-service (CaaS) platform. 1. Pax8 Security Education: This week at its Pax8 Beyond conference, Pax8 released its new security program. The program, which is based on the CIS Control Framework, will offer new tools for improving MSPs’ business operations and educational resources to help MSPs better understand and sell Pax8 products. This is Pax8’s first security program, corporate VP of partner experience Vicky Critchley said, but the company plans to release more later this year. The program will offer virtual educational sessions to customers via its business track as well as vendor-specific training with on-demand options professional services and Pax8-assisted sales calls. The program was developed in partnership with a number of companies, including Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Blackpoint Cyber, Proofpoint and others.

2. Compliance Scorecard Releases New Version of Compliance-as-a-Service Platform: Compliance Scorecard, a governance-as-a-service solutions provider created by MSPs for MSPs, has unveiled the latest version of its Compliance-as-a Service (CaaS) platform at Pax8 Beyond. The updated platform now includes advanced risk management tools, improved asset management capabilities, and new compliance reporting methods designed to help MSPs strengthen their cybersecurity service offerings and unlock new revenue opportunities, the company said in a statement.

3. D&H Growth Driven by Cloud, Networking; Opportunities With AI: D&H Distributing has released its Fiscal Year 2024 End numbers, and they show significant sales growth. The company experienced 20% sales growth in areas like cloud, networking, displays, modern solutions, ProAV, and power products, the company said in a statement. For FY 2025 (which began in May), the company is investing in significant new areas such as AI readiness. They anticipate training thousands of channel partners on new AI-enabled chips and devices as these products continue to emerge. In fact, they’re including multiple sessions aimed at next-gen technologies at next week’s THREAD Technology Conference, including five AI-oriented trainings.

4. OpenText Cybersecurity’s Latest Managed Security Research: OpenText Cybersecurity released its annual 2024 Global Managed Security Survey, with responses from over 1,500 MSPs and MSSPs globally on the challenges and opportunities for both SMBs and enterprises as AI adoption increases, the company said. The report found that, In 2024, 92.5% of respondents reported they were making AI investments and offering AI security services (i.e., tools) to track threats and vulnerabilities, and that those investments and services offerings would be the major drivers of business growth over the next 12 months. Over 80% of respondents currently offer these AI-related security services and, of those who didn’t, 62% planned to offer them in the next 12 months.
