Ada County dispatch system offline, 911 unaffected by cybersecurity incident – Idaho News

Boise, Idaho (CBS2) – Ada County Computer Aided Dispatch is offline.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office says 911 and non-emergency lines are not affected. Dispatchers are still taking calls and sending law enforcement, fire and/or paramedics.

The county says late Saturday night, the active and ongoing monitoring of Ada County’s computer network detected unusual activity in the Emergency Communications environment.

Authorities began investigating and determining the effects of the incident. They are also working with a national third-party cybersecurity and data forensics consultants.

The county says it has taken some affected systems offline to secure and restore services. Dispatchers are working on backup systems and processes.
