The two companies have completed the merger after previously agreeing on it. The joint platform combines security information and event management (SIEM) and user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) tooling. The combined company will continue under the name Exabeam.

Bringing the two security products together should better support security analysts, security engineers and CISOs in their work. The platform comes into its own particularly in the SOC (security operations center). Through the platform, employees will have access to security intelligence and tools for protecting the organization from cyber threats.

Christopher O’Malley, who originally led LogRhythm, will serve as CEO of Exabeam. “Together, our combined expertise, innovation velocity, and vision will propel AI-driven cybersecurity solutions to new heights. Unlike the tech conglomerates that have left customers exposed in the critical battle against cyberattacks, our unwavering focus remains on empowering the true heroes of security,” commented the brand new Exabeam CEO.

Plans

In presenting the completed merger, Exabeam also gives a glimpse of its plans for the future. For example, LogRhythm plans to continue releasing quarterly updates to its SIEM product’s cloud-native and on-premises versions. This represents a continuation of the strategy initiated in mid-2022.

The new security operations platform should help companies with threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR). Exabeam sees plenty of opportunity in this area. AI for automation can simplify operations, allowing security experts to mitigate complex threats faster and more effectively.
